This option is popular for younger students with shorter attention spans. In this time frame we will be able to have fun with a few ideas during the lesson.

DRUM LESSON
Great for older children and teenagers who want to dive in a little longer then half hour lesson. We will expand on the ideas given in a lesson and explore/create our own variations in different musical contexts.

ONE HOUR
DRUM LESSON
This tends to be the standard option for most teenage and adult students who want to take their drumming to the next the level at a quicker pace. We will cover multiple concepts throughout the lesson, and effectively apply those ideas to the desire musical goals.
In each lesson, no matter the length, we are going to have a lot of fun playing the drums. This is the time to unwind, challenge ourselves, create music, and grow as an overall musician. I am ready to go at whatever pace makes sense for the student. Overall, we will explore this vibrant world of drumming and focus in on a lot of different concepts, styles, and techniques that make up drumming. We have a lot to discover so, let's get it!
"I'm a tenor saxophone player and I've always wanted to learn multiple instruments. Fall of last year my school's band department hired a drum instructor for private lessons and I jumped at the chance to learn the drums because I always thought they were awesome sauce. I can't be more happy that I took the opportunity. Mr. Kummer has taught me so much in that short amount of time. I never thought I would learn how to play the drums since my middle school teacher tried to teach us but I completely sucked, but now I'm learning how some of my favorite songs with TOTALLY WICKED drum solos in them and it's all thanks to Mr. Kummer!! 🤗He's not only a great teacher but a great person too. He's really nice to talk to and his stories are fun to listen to as well. And thinking back on it I don't think I've ever seen him without a smile on his face when we had lessons. He's always so bright and chipper ready to teach and beat away at the drums. He makes it easy for me to learn since I'm a person who prospered when I can see and hear what I'm supposed to do. He's very patient and explains the details of the whole and breaks it down as needed. He's an all out great guy and teacher and I can't recommend him enough."
