There was much anticipation leading up to this Summer Drum Recital and there was fire in the air, quite literally. The week leading up to the drum recital there was a big pallet fire a couple blocks east from The Superior Street Center For The Arts (where the recital took place). The next day, a massive building fire broke out just across the street, covering the Superior Street Center For The Arts building in black smoke. What caused these fires just days before the recital? Could it have been the wild summer weather, an unidentified arsonist, property managers seeking new developments, or was it the crazy hot drum fills and grooves that were happening in Eric's drum room? One may never know.
Here is the best group photo that we have. Not everyone is visible from this angle, but this was the majority of the students who performed at the Summer Drum Recital.

It was so nice seeing everyone stepping up and performing their drum pieces in front of a live audience. Just remember that you get what you put into this instrument. I am proud of everyone who participated in this summer's drum recital. You guys are wonderful and it is always so much fun watching you guys own your performances. Keep this energy going through the rest of this year!
